Ingredients:
- 6 ripe, chopped tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional for balancing acidity)
- Add Salt and pepper for taste
- ½ teaspoon dried basil or oregano (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Cream or milk for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
- Saute Aromatics: Heat olive oil or butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and saute until transparent. Add the minced garlic and heat for another minute.
- Cook Tomatoes: Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until they start to soften.
