Bread Potato Roll is a delightful and simple snack that blends soft bread and a rich potato filling. This dish is a popular choice for breakfast, snacks, or appetizers due to its warm, crispy outside and flavorful, spicy interior.

 Ingredients of Bread Potato Roll

For the Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of quick yeast.
1 tablespoon of sugar
½ teaspoon of salt
¾ cup warm milk (or water)
2 tablespoons melted butter (or oil)

For the Filling:

2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 small onion, finely chopped
1-2 green chilies, chopped (optional)
½ teaspoon of cumin seeds
½ teaspoon of garam masala
Add Salt to taste
Fresh coriander, chopped (optional)
Oil too cook (if pan-frying)

 Instructions

 Make the Dough:

1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
2. Add Wet Ingredients: Gradually combine warm milk and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth.
4. First Rise: Put the dough in a big bowl, cover with a wet cloth, and allow to rise in a warm area for an hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling:

1. Cook the Onions: Heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds to splutter. Next, add the chopped onions and saute until golden.
2. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, sauteed onions, green chilies, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. If using, season with fresh coriander

 Assemble the Rolls:

1. Form the Rolls: After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into little balls (about the size of a golf ball).
2. Fill: Flatten each ball and add a tablespoon of potato filling to the center. Gather the edges and pinch together to seal.
3. Second Rise: Place the filled rolls, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let them rise for a further 30 minutes.

 Bake or Fry:

Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the rolls with melted butter or egg wash and bake for Frying: approximately 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
To fry, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry bread potato rolls till golden brown on all sides.

 Serve:

Enjoy your Potato Bread Rolls warm, with ketchup or chutney on the side!

Feel free to customize the filling to your liking!
