This is a simple recipe for Vegetable Manchurian, a classic Indo-Chinese dish. First, make the fritters by combining vegetables or meat with cornflour and seasoning. Next, deep fried the fritters until they are crispy and golden brown. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, cook the garlic, ginger, onions, and green chilies. Then, combine soy sauce, ketchup, and chili sauce with vegetable broth or water to make a delicious sauce. After that, toss the fried fritters into the sauce to soak up the flavors. Finally, garnish with chopped spring onion and serve hot.

 Ingredients of Manchurian Recipe

For the Manchurian Balls:

(Dry Manchurian  and Dry Veg Manchurian)
1 cup finely chopped mixed veggies (carrot, cabbage, capsicum, and beans).
1/2 cup of boiling and mashed potatoes.
2-3 tablespoons cornflour (or cornstarch)
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour (optional)
1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste
Add Salt to taste

For the Manchurian Sauce:

Firstly, 2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
1-2 green chilies, slice, Gobi chilli
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon chili sauce (adjust for taste)
1/2 cup vegetable broth or water
1 teaspoon of vinegar
1-2 teaspoons cornflour mixed with water (to thicken)
Add Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped spring onions as garnish

Instructions of Manchurian Recipe

1. Prepare the Manchurian Balls:

In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped veggies, mashed potatoes, cornflour, all-purpose flour (if using), green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, Gobi chili, and salt.
Mix until it has a dough-like consistency. If the mixture is too wet, add some more cornflour.
Next, shape the mixture into small balls.

Similarly you can make Paneer ball, Noodle Ball, Gobi Ball and cabbage Ball, just like we made Vegetable balls.

2. Fry the Manchurian Balls:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Next, cook the balls till golden brown and crispy. Then remove and drain on paper towels.

3. Prepare the Sauce:

In a separate pan, heat the oil. Then, add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies and saute for a minute.
Next, add the chopped onions and saute until transparent.
Finally, add the soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, and vinegar. Mix well.
Then add the vegetable broth or water and bring to a simmer.
If you want a thicker sauce, add the cornflour-water mixture and cook for a few minutes until thickened.
Finally, add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine:

Pour the sauce over the cooked Manchurian balls and gently stir to coat.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to mingle.

5. Serve:

Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
