Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Chilli Potato Recipe. Chili Potato is a popular Indo-Chinese dish made with crispy fried potatoes tossed in a flavorful, tangy, and spicy sauce. Ingredients of Chilli Potato Recipe :

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into thin wedges or fries
  • 2-3 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper (capsicum), diced
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Spring onions, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Potatoes: Boil the potato wedges until slightly tender (about 5-7 minutes). Drain and let them cool. Toss with cornflour, all-purpose flour (if using), and salt. 
  2. Fry Potatoes: Heat oil in a pan or deep fryer. Fry the coated potato wedges until golden and crispy. If you want to make crispy chilli Potato then make the potatoes more crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Sauté Veggies: In another pan, heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute, then add diced onions and bell peppers. Cook until they’re slightly soft.
  4. Add Sauce: Add soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, red chili powder,  black pepper and  If you are make Chilli Honey Potato then you added Honey. Mix well and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
